A small team in Belgrade, trusted across Europe since 2008

We build and look after the digital platforms that tourism boards, research institutions, cultural networks, and public bodies rely on every day.

Who We Are

Globe Dotters started in 2008 and has stayed deliberately small. We are engineers first. Clients deal with us directly rather than through account managers or a rotating cast of contractors.

Most of our clients are organizations with a public mission and a long horizon. The European Travel Commission has kept coming back since 2016. The Max Planck Digital Library calls when its research tools need attention. The U.S. Embassy in Serbia asked us to build and run the BOLD Serbia platform from the ground up. Mad Head Games and the Serbian Games Association arrived from an entirely different industry.

We have also delivered larger public-interest programmes, including the European Commission campaign site for the 2018 EU-China Tourism Year and an earlier generation of the Liberation Route Europe memorial platform.

Our Approach

Good software starts with a plain, direct relationship. We use ordinary language instead of jargon, give honest estimates rather than optimistic ones, and stay flexible enough to change direction when your organization does.

We sit alongside client teams across development, maintenance, content, and long-term improvement. Whether the request is a major platform change or a small urgent fix, our aim is to be the technical partner who already knows the context and can start straight away.

Who you will be talking to

Ivan Todorov

Founder and Managing Director

Ivan founded Globe Dotters in 2008 and still leads it. On most engagements he is the first person you speak to, and he stays involved through delivery rather than handing the relationship over once a contract is signed.

Around that sits a small, stable group of collaborators across development, design, and infrastructure, several of whom have been with us for years. It is a structure that keeps decisions quick and keeps the people who know your platform on your platform.

What Long-Term Actually Means

Relationships, not projects

Our longest client relationship is approaching ten years and has covered four separate platforms. Most of what we take on each year comes from organizations we already know.

We stay after launch

Launch is the start of the interesting part. We host, monitor, patch, and improve platforms for years, and we remain reachable once an engagement has formally ended.

We inherit gracefully

A lot of what we do is picking up systems someone else built: Joomla migrations, ageing WordPress installs, undocumented integrations. Existing software does not frighten us.

Our Expertise

Since 2008 we have built publishing systems, multilingual portals, interactive maps, internal business tools, and research applications, and kept many of them running for years afterwards. The technical range below reflects what those platforms actually needed, not a list of trends.

Curious whether we are a good fit?

Most of our client relationships started with a short, informal conversation. No pitch deck, no invoice for a discovery phase.
