From initiative to platform
Built quickly, designed to keep evolving
Tourism for Europe grew from an ETC initiative and European Parliament exhibition into a living platform of projects from destinations across the continent.
The first public version had a demanding launch window. We adapted our delivery schedule to help ETC meet that moment while establishing an architecture that would support later phases rather than become a disposable campaign website.
An external designer provided the initial visual direction. Our technical and UX input shaped the work from the beginning. We now lead design refinement, feature development, workflow improvements, and visual polish together with the ETC team.
Platform capabilities
Headless publishing architecture
A React and Next.js frontend, served through Node.js, is separated from a headless WordPress CMS. Editors retain a familiar publishing experience while the public platform benefits from a modern, performance-focused architecture.
Custom destination map
A purpose-built interactive map connects destination discovery with the growing collection of stories and best practices.
Structured storytelling
WordPress models destinations, countries, stories, themes, and impact categories so a complex editorial collection remains manageable and consistent.
Content and launch delivery
We handled the initial content population and technical launch, helping ETC turn campaign materials into a complete public experience on a demanding schedule.
